Sand blasting

Common term used to describe the process of blasting with an abrasive to remove hard material. Sand (silica) has been outlawed these many years because of its hazardous nature as a fine dust. See silicosis.Garnet is most commonly used to blast-etch glass. Correct term is shot blasting.
